Amanda C. Stebbins, Doctor of Optometry
Board Certified Optometric Physician
Dr. Amanda Stebbins received her Bachelor of Science degree from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC where she graduated with Honors and was a member of the Beta Beta Beta Biological Honors Society. She then received her Doctorate of Optometry degree from the University of Alabama School of Optometry in Birmingham, where she graduated with Honors and was a member of the Phi Kappa Alpha Optometric Fraternity. She was an active member in the student government and the only member of her class elected to serve on the school’s curriculum committee. She completed her internships in ocular disease and pathology at the Brevard County VA Clinic in Viera, FL and primary care at the Florida Eye Clinic in Winter Springs, FL. Dr. Stebbins has practiced in the Orlando area since 2005.
Dr. Stebbins is board certified for the treatment and management of ocular diseases and is a therapeutically licensed optometric physician. She is an active member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), Southern Council of Optometrists (SCO), Florida Optometric Association (FOA), and the Central Florida Society of Optometric Physicians (CFSOP). She is also a member of the Colorado Optometric Association.
Dr. Stebbins has the honor of being the founder and director of one of Central Florida’s first Dry Eye Centers of Excellence. This honor was attained through extensive additional education and clinical training in the field of dry eye disease. Dr. Stebbins has accumulated over 20 additional hours of training in dry eye treatment above and beyond the standard curriculum.
Dr. Stebbins enjoys volunteering for both local and national charities including the Jeppesen Foundation, Camp Seale Harris for Children with Diabetes, and Lighthouse Central Florida. She has participated in numerous health fairs where she helped educate the public about the importance of comprehensive eye care in the detection and prevention of disease.
In her spare time, Dr. Stebbins enjoys spending time with her husband, Andrew, and their daughter Breckin and son Cooper. She also enjoys traveling, snow skiing, and outdoor activities.
